Will apple intro attesor technology for ppc users?

We know that rosetta will allow apps compiled for ppc to run on intel macs, but how about attesor for intel compiled apps to run on ppc? I know that during (and for an unknown time beyond) the transition devs will be issuing apps as universal binaries but what if they get fed up of that and the poor old ppc users are left out in the cold? Me thinks that having emulation/compatibility in both directions would be good to safeguard both user bases and to give greater flexibility to everyone - developers can develop however they want and mac users can use their apps regardless of their hardware.

It doesn't usually work out that way. Emulation is slow, but if you're using on a machine that's much faster than the one you're emulating, it's not as noticable. On the other hand, if you emulate on a machine that's much, much slower... This is why emulation is always a one-way street for these transitions, designed to make it easier to adopt the new technology (on faster machines), not easier to hold onto the old technology (on slower machines). There was no PPC emulator for 68k, no Cocoa compatibility layer for OS9, and you're not likely to see an OSX-Intel emulator for OSX-PPC.
