Keep getting kicked off the server

We have a server at work which holds all the accounting files. People log in and access the files using the Accounting software on their machines. Our book keeper keeps getting disconnected. I will put a shortcut to the server in her dock, but after she is kicked off, there is a question mark in the dock where the server shortcut icon used to be. What could be going wrong?

    Is your accountant's computer going to sleep? If so that could kick her off the server. Adjust the energy saver preferences.
