G4 won't wake up...

Hi,



My Dual G4 (running Tiger) here at work...it's left on overnight, and set to sleep after a certain time. Well, every morning I come in, and the screen is dark, but nothing at all will wake it up. I have to do a hard restart.



Any ideas?

    The first thing I would do is set it to never sleep and see what it is doing. It's possible that something is hanging (which you never see because it hangs while the machine is asleep).



    If that doesn't reveal anything interesting, I'd zap the PRAM:



    (hold down command-option-P-R while booting until you hear startup chime twice)



    If that didn't work, I'd boot into Open Firmware:



    (hold down command-option-O-F during boot, then:

    type

    reset-nvram

    reset-all)



    If that failed, I'd reset the mobo:



    -shut down completely.

    - open the case and find the CUDA button (a tiny silver flat button on the mobo near the battery)

    - push the CUDA button ONCE with the tip of a pen or similar.

    -close case and reboot.
