DVD player still not working in tiger

Ever since I loaded tiger, my DVD player does not work. When I first loaded tiger, I left the other partition (10.3.9) as is in case tiger did not fly. When I noticed the DVD player not working in tiger, I rebooted into 10.3.9 and the DVD player worked so its not the hardware.



I recently loaded the dvd player update and still no luck. I have a 450MHz G4 with 1GIG ram, and a 8500 redeon with 64MB of ram.



Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it?
