way of changing standard program for certain file types?

Hi,



the standard application to open .avi files on my PB is Quicktime. But I want to open my .avi files with VLC, so I always need to press ctrl + click. Is there a way to tell the OS that the standard program for .avi files is VLC?

    Control click the file -> Show info -> Open with -> click the button below (I am on a danish system right now and I don´t remember the name of it), affirming that all documents of the same type is to be opnened with the program.

    Of course an easier way would be to Control+Click ( Right Click) go to Open With> Press ALT, and it changes to Always Open With, then select the App.
