iDVD2 w/ firewire burners?

I have patched iDVD2 to work on my G4 Powerbook. I was wondering if the software will recognize external burners? Has anyone gotten this to work?

    I have found a patch that is supposed to let me do just this, only I don't have iDVD2 (or 1 for that matter) so I can't test it. I have a TiBook that doesn't come with the iDVD software and obviously can't use a SuperDrive. I'm at work and don't have the link to the patch, but I'll try and find it tonight.
