ipod cables
Ok so this may sound stupid, but here's the deal.
I have an older powerbook with no usb2 ports (and I dont want a pcmcia card). I do have a firewire port and just bought a new ipod that doesn't come with a firewire cable. I also bought a dock and wanted to know if it is possible to get one of the firewire and usb2 cable splitters (the apple kind) and plug the usb into the power brick for power only and plug the firewire in as needed to sync my ipod. I have to travel with my computer quite frequently so I cant just leave the ipod plugged into it for power. I would rather use the power brick. I have read the apple help which says it can work the other way but says nothing of the way I have suggested. thanks for the help
