iBook G4 12" and 26" LCD TV

Hi there.

I am currently looking into buying a flat-screen LCD 26" TV. I am looking to play XBox on it (admittedly for the first time), DVDs and ... my iBook!

Has anyone tried this before? Is this even possible? How would it look on such a (relatively) large screen?

I would appreciate any feedback, or being told where to direct this question.

Thanks.

Nius.

The LCD tv is prob around 1366x768ish (or maybe 1280x768ish) resolution, providing it has a vga in on it by using the screen spanning hack

a recent ibook will be no be no probs.. check site for compatibility.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I will give it a shot. What jacks must the TV have in order to plug the iBook in? (And the XBox for that matter).

I am looking to get the Polaroid FLM-2601.

I must admit that I do not really understand all the jargon

i have an iboook g4, which came with a vga adapter out of the box, which your tv has. That will probably be the best quality, alternatively you can buy an adpater off apple (Apple Video adapter, £15, $19) which will give you composite and s-video output, which your tv also has. So ideally go for vga, if you want to use that port for something else, go for s-video.

For the audio, i dont think the ibooks have optical out, jsut analogue, so you its pretty simple, just a 3.5mm to 3.5mm or 3.5mm to red white composite would be fine, though from reading the tv stuff, i think it would propabaly want you to use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm (using one of the line in sockets)

    hope thats clear

ps looks like a nice one.

Thanks. I recently moved out here to NY. Everything seem nice actually. (And cheap - well, compared to London).

Many more tech purchases to make?!!

Yeah everything over here in england technology wise is more expensive than in the us, tho some of the countries on the continent have it worse.
