DVD-Rs no longer burn but use to last week
I am currently running Mac OS 10.4.2 Tiger with all the new updates installed on a PowerMac G5 Dual 1.8 with stock Pioneer A106 4X DVD Burner that ships with it.
I've been burning DVDs for two years now on this Mac without a problem. I even burned some data onto a DVD last week without any problems. However, last night I tried to burn a data DVD, it burns correctly and mounts onto the desktop ok, but when I eject the disk and retest it, the DVD will not mount onto the desktop and ejects from the disk after a few seconds.
I put the DVD onto a PC and it reads the disc fine, but the Data is corrupted. I've tried 3 different brands. The same brands worked last week! No Matter what I burn, it will not burn correctly. However, if I burn the same media onto a CD, it works fine! I've tried repairing permissions.
I wonder if was the Safari 2.0.1 or Security Update I installed last week. Any advice?
