strange yahoo game text with 10.4.2

Whenever i play a Yahoo Game, i get funky text



I have had this problem since i upgraded to tiger when it was first released but it wasn't a big deal because i don;t play that often...until now. I figured that after this long with tiger being out, there would be something on the net about it but my search was fruitless.



I have the latest version of everything and i still get it. I tested on Firefox (both latest official and the new 1.5) as well as Safari. Below is a screen shot







Any ideas on how to fix this?

    check your prefs -> Appearence -> font

    if it really matters dl camino, it's much better

    The font preference is normal. The funky text is only in the java applet of Yahoo Games. I will try it with camino but even if that works, i wish i could simply do it within safari.
