mac noob - default opening programs

hi, I have office 04 test drive installed since i got my ibook. Recently i've installed the full office '04 but the documents are still opening with the test drive version. I then went to uninstall both and did a fresh install of office '04 but the same thing still happens. I tried to right click>open with>[full office 04 program] and ticking "always open with" option and it worked. For that one particular file. Isn't there a way to make it work with ALL the files?

    Get info on the file. Not only will you have the option to open that file with a certain app, but you can also set it as the global default as well.

    Another way to do it is to move the Demo Office to the Trash bin and then empty the trash. If you don't empty the trash, it'll still run the stupid thing.



    After you empty the trash, all new files will open with the full Office install.

    Sadly like a few other Microsoft products the office trial demo is pure evil.



    Probably produced on Monster Island. Of course that's just a name.
