Application needs to use specific Connection

How do I get OS X (Tiger) tell a specific application to use a specific internet connection?



Meaning.. I need Remote Desktop to use the VPN tunnel instead of the public interent outgoing..



Surely there is a command that I can use to do this...



So my question is what is the way to tell application A to chose interface B (as opposed to interface C)
