Is there any program to convert mpeg 1 to DVI?

I have a lot of videos on my computer in .mov, .mpeg, and .avi format. I want to edit these in Imovie but I understand that they have to be .dvi in order to be able to use imovie. Is there any software available that can convert these video types to .dvi?

My understanding is that Quicktime Pro will do that for you.
