Help with Scripts

I'm extremely new to scripts and would like to automate an action involving .avi files and quictime. I would like to be able to make it look into a folder, open an .avi file, save it as a reference .mov and move both files into another folder.



Any scripting hep would be most appreciated.

Are you using the DivX codec? If so, throw it out, and get 3ivx instead. I believe the codec comes with divx doctor, which is a program that does pretty much what you want your script to do.
