MPEG2 Missing from Final Cut 5?

Hey all,



For some reason, when I try to export from FCP 5, the option to export as MPEG2 is no longer there. All of the other options still are available -- but not MPEG2.



I tried reinstalling Quicktime/DVD Studio Pro but no luck.



Anyone have any suggestions? I'm in the middle of a project, so I'd rather not reinstall the FC Suite.

    You might want to try funning the FCP 5 installer and make sure to look for a separate MPEG-2 installer. I remember this being the case with previous fcp's, and at some point it was actually a separate product (MPEG-2 support).



    If you can't get this option to work, what we did at our college was export the project as DV and open up in iMovie, then export to iDVD...of which all files were MPEG2.
