Alias Wavefront appears to be having a little bit of a difficulty...



They've closed two west coast R&D offices, and lost co-founder Mark Sylvester.

    Apple needs to purchase Alias|wavefront, and drop the price on Maya...



    Then Steve Jobs needs to work out a deal with himself, and position PRRenderMan as the default renderer for Maya...



    That would be awesome!



    Now if Apple & nVidia could just see their way to bringing us the Quadro4 900XGL...

    and finally maya will have a decent render engine and perhaps apple could become the prime choice for 3d professionals (hi-end unfortunately that is not the case now)
