iTunes not recognizing iPod
Hey Guys,
I've had my iPod for about a year and now it's decided to stop working. When I plugged in my iPod to firewire, first it didn't mount at all. Then I ran the iPod updater and now it mounts and recognizes it as an iPod, but when I go into iTunes it doesn't show up as a source so I therefore can't copy any of my music to it and there are no options in the iPod preferences, since it can't find it. When I tried using alternate iPod transfer software, I got the same issue.
There is a help article on apple.com about this (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61937) but they suggest reinstalling Tiger, and to me that seems a little extreme. Does anyone know of a better solution? It seems to me like this is an iPod problem, but please let me know what you think.
Thanks.
