PopUp Killer for the Mac?

There is a Windoze utility for blocking those oh-so-annoying popup ads. (I don't have the URL to hand but search under Popup Killer). Any Mac equivalents, asked The Blue Meanie hopefully?

    I don't know of any Mac utilities like that... but both OmniWeb and Mozilla let you block them if you want.

    Junkbuster works on OSX. It will block anything you want: cookies, ads, pop ups, fast refreshes, etc.



    It's a 'proxy' server you install on your machine and start up. You change your browser to use

    http: 127.0.0.1 port 8000

    and voila.

    If you want I can post my junkbuster config online, or you can send me yours and I'll help you block stuff.



    I've got it set to block pretty much all ads,, including MOSR, MacNN, AI boards, theregister.co.uk and more.



    One nice side effect is that web browsing is faster; pages load quicker without the ads (esp the register!).

    They do? I have Omniweb - how do you kill the pop-ups then? By switching off javascript?
