converting Ipod video no sound!!?!??!?!?

hi got a niggle. I was trying to download some greek dance anthem videos to watch on my ipod video, anyway popped it through quicktime like i did to previous videos and now they have no sound, i mean im a being incredibly thick here, or am i missing something?

    Were they encoded using mpeg2 ?



    I haven't found a fix yet... though I'm sure there is one. But when you try to re-encode a mpeg2 file it looses the sound. Look around, I'm sure there are some 3rd party apps that will re-size / re-enode them.

    (I was workng with a dvr and just encoded them as AVI instead of mpeg2.)

    You might have to demux (split video/audio) and then re-encode using third-party apps. Try ffmpegx:

    oh ek, I havent got a clue how to do that, i downloaded them of limewire so i havent got a clue what recording if they were mpeg 2 or 4? is their no button in quicktime that will just fix it?

    There is no button in QT that will just fix it.
