Migration to new Intel Macs

Hello - has anyone heard of the migration options from power pc macs to intel macs? Tiger has a migration assistant that will do the work for you easily and I was wondering if the same applies between the old and new macs or will we have to manually install software/preferences?

    I expect it to be exactly the same. If you have third party apps installed you might need to update them to universal binaries if available, but you could do that on the PowerPC Mac before migrating.
