not able to register airport extreme serial number with apple
okay, i just bought this 'new' airport extreme card off of ebay for $47 shipped. it came in a brand new box, everything looking proper and in order. the card installed just fine, although i haven't yet taken it anywhere with WIFI to test it out.
I went to Apple's website to register the airport extreme card, and it said it didn't recognize the serial number and i wouldn't be able to fully register my product. i double checked it, and i'm positive i entered the right serial number. what does this mean? i am concerned that it means somehow the airport card is a fake or stolen or something. does anyone have any experience with anything like this?

I had the same problem with their online registration system. I gave up when it wouldn't work and called apple and did it over the phone.
