Aspect ratio? Video editing software help...

I have an AVI file on my mac. Everyone is 'tall and skinny' in it and I would like to correct the 'aspect ratio' (if that is what its called)

In any case, the resolution of the file is 352 x 240

I won't play in quicktime, but will in VLC. I can buy any software needed, so any advice would be helpful.

(may be genius bar)

Download and install the DivX 6 QuickTime codec. With it installed, QuickTime Pro, iMovie, iDVD and every other QuickTime-compatible app will handle most .avi files.

You can also use ffmpegx to re-encode at a different resolution, if needed.
