Ads making Safari beachball

Latest ads seem to make Safari (at least the latest WebKits) beachball. I've got several tabs open and AppleInsider always has the progress indicator spinning...and eventually, Safari slows to a crawl and beachballs on everything I do until I close the AppleInsider tab.



I'm assuming it has something to do with on of the ad that seems to go into some endless loading loop.



Status bar says:

"completed 243 of 244 items"

"completed 244 of 245 items"

"completed 245 of 246 items"

"completed 246 of 247 items"

.

.

.

and never stops incrementing the number of items.



edit:

On second though, it might be the news archive at the bottom of the main page (or whatever's supposed to be in the box at the bottom of the main page.)

    Ummm...I'm surprised nothing about this has been done so far.

    Meh...doesn't matter anymore, AppleInsider is off my bookmarks. Take your time fixing the issue, Kasper.

    I like the odd news snippet from AI, and I don't mind being presented an ad or two when loading your page.



    But this trojan which wastes my CPU's resources and seems to generate fictitious hits on ads is clearly rotten. Stop it!



    I'm not helping either AI or valueclick.com to generate fantasy revenues. AppleInsider's off my booksmarks list.

    Looks like the scripts causing endless hits for valueclick.com have been changed - but only to better hide the activity.



    THIS IS A REALLY ROTTEN APPROACH



    Sorry, I don't usually yell on forums, but this is unacceptable. It's time AI's behaviour is changed or brought to a wider public.
