Sometimes when I reboot (OSX 10.4.5), I find some "recovered files" in my trash. What and why do these appear? It's never anything that I actually lost or didn't save. I end up just deleting those files in the trash (empty trash).
I noticed this too. I think they started doing it in Tiger. One of the classic OSs used to do this too and it really annoyed me because it just seems to bring back temp files. I suppose if it recovered something useful then it would make sense but for me it never has.
