Hi

Basically I am hoping to get a new iMac core duo soon but was just wondering if any of you could possibly answer the following question.

Does the front row remote work using a USB/IR adpator?

I want to have the iMac core duo up in the study. Directy below the study is the lounge. I was going to run an s-video out and audio from my imac upstairs, thru the floor and into my tv so it can all play on there. However this would present a problem controlling fornt row. I know i could use a bluetooth phone, or some other remote, but I was wondering if it would be possible to run a usb cable down then attach a USB/IR adaptor and then use the apple remote.

would this work?

thanks

stu

I recon you could get that to work! As for the iMac out of the box it has a built in I.R. sensor hidden neatly behind the apple sign on the front face of the iMac for the remote! Such an apple thing to do!
