Macbook/Intel Macs Coreaudio changes
Hi,
I recently got a macbook and I noticed that the Coreaudio system works different than on PowerPc macs.
In audio-midi-setup, the input stage has changed.
I used to be able to turn down incoming audio signals by -12dB and increase incoming signals up to +12dB.
Now in my macbook, I cannot turn down the volume of incoming audio signals, I can only increase gain by 22.5 dB's.
if U look into audio-midi-setup, where U can see the input volume sliders, it is not possible to have a negative value, and thus a negative dB change.
I guess there is a fault into the coding. It is not logical to only have the option to increase gain.
Can anybody confirm this who has a macbook and a G5 or probably a PowerPc and Intel Mac....?
Where can I report this to apple so they can have a look into it?
Or am I just blind and not seeing some setting somewhere?
