Disappearing 1 Gb Shuffle?
I pretty much decided to get myself a 1 GB iPodShuffle. I discovered when ordering online that it would take 1-2 business days to ship, and 3-6 business days to deliver.
Figuring this is a little too long to wait, I looked up some local retailers web sites to find out if they had any. Two out of three of the retailers' don't even carry it (despite carrying the 512 Mb Shuffle) and one carries it, but it's out of stock.
Is Apple trying to run out its inventory of 1 Gb Shuffles in favour of the 1 Gb Nano? If so, this would be foolish on their part, because the 1 Gb Shuffle probably represents the best value among the 1 Gb flash players on the market.
