Professional digital audio production

I have a G4 iMac and plan on getting the MOTU 896 audio interface to record and mix my music on. I've pretty much settled on using Digital Performer and am curious to know when it will be running OS X native. Any info?



Also, I'm looking for a drum machine to create realistic and synthesized beats. I'm looking for one that runs in OS X. This would need to be programmable step recording, not live sampling.

    You won't be finding out any information anytime soon. They haven't released it yet. They've also haven't released about their upcoming [soon!] update to dp3, dp 3.1
