Apple-RIM deal coming?

The same analyst who predicted the Intel/RIM deal is now predicting an Apple-RIM hook up.



"Senior executives at Intel have recommended that Apple work with RIM, Mr. Misek said in a research note."

    Jean-Louis Gassée, a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley who once oversaw Apple's global products division and research and development. But he questioned whether the strong personalities leading the two companies could work together.

    If Apple licensed RIM's underlying technology it would be entertaining. The new iPhone would be Blackberry Enterprise Server compatible. The user interface would need to be completely redone of course...

    I love my crack berry. I say combine the two for the perfect phone.

    Just be sure I can order an extended battery and I don't need itunes for it.

    No it won't. It will only be compatible with .Mac.
