Do you think the MacBook Pro (specifically the 17") will be at all different come August? I?ve decided on the 17? and have to have it by mid August. My question is, do you think it worth waiting or should I just get it now?
Well... if you like the 17" and aren't looking for something like a 12" version... you're probably okay. Apple pretty much just released the thing. If anything, they may bump the speed up between now and then... but I'd imagine that would be about it. I always say the same thing... get what meets your needs. There is always going to be something newer and better just around the corner... you can play that game forever. At some point you just have to jump in. In Apple's case, the best time to jump in is now when their whole notebook like is pretty much new. You should be safe for a while before we see any major changes.
