ichat and macbook

Does ichat work with macbook--I tried to install it to no avail.

    You shouldn't have to install it. It comes pre-installed. Are you sure you mean iChat?

    i found it readily on my intel imac--but not on the macbook---weird--



    and I can't download it either

    Yes. I have a MacBook, and it's right there in /Applications



    If it isn't there, I'd do a complete clean re-install of everything from the supplied system restore DVD. If iChat is missing, who knows what else is?

    Yes--I think I will have to do that---



    Everything else works fine--but I have Parallels with Windows and Boot Camp with Windows on the computer--and I can use the ichat on my iMac--so I am a bit reluctant to screw around installing OS--even though I can do an install keeping the other stuff on there--who knows what will happen with Windows.

    I think I figured out what happened--when I received the new macbook--



    I did a complete clean install of the OS on a hard drive--which I had added --



    Then I connected my laptop to the new ibook to transfer the data--



    BUT!!!!



    I previously had removed ichat from the old laptop and so when I did the transfer ichat was not ported over to the MacBook--
