What are the odds of an iMac update by like August/Sept? I think it may be good odds since intel has put out those new chips? How much faster will it actually be if they do?
What are the odds of an iMac update by like August/Sept? I think it may be good odds since intel has put out those new chips? How much faster will it actually be if they do?
Posted elsewhere, but I'm fairly certain that everything Mac will be updated in the next 8 weeks. They may wait on updating the Macbooks until October, since those were the most recent releases. But given that the Intel iMac were the first out the gate, along with the MBPs, we can expect them to get bumped asap.
The speed difference will vary, but will be pretty significant in many tasks, just based on the higher clock-rates of conroe vs yonah.
