I work in a photography studio and we are trying to convert to X. Does anyone know of how to acquire images from a IBM Microdrive from a DCS 560 camera since i dont belive the Kodak aquire module is made for OS X? <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" />

It been awhile I using 560 so I don't remember off the top my head but Kodak should have/release a support for the pre OS X cameras since these were more than $18,000 two years ago! If they haven't see if you could download the Aquire software for the new 645 DCS back. I talked another photog to buy this one and he has been using it under both OS 9 and OS X. Most of the Aquire softwares with the same manufacturer, especially in professional line, should be able to perform basic functions such as file trasnfer/aquire.

I cannot remember if the 560 has firewire (most likely should) and if yes then worst case scenario may be to download via iPhoto. My older D1 (first gen) is not listed as "supported" model on Apple's site but because of firewire's universality it recognizes it every time in OS 9 and X. Hope this helps...

Well I can try the 645 aquire, but I use iPhoto because 1 that doesn't give me the option to color correct and also I can't bring the camera out fo the studio becuase it is in use often all day and we just switch microdrives in the camera and then download the pictures from that. Thanks though ill try the 645 aquire module
