Itunes transfer question?

Im a new Mac user and I had a question about Itunes music. I was trying to transfer all my songs from my windows PC to my new Imac. All the songs are AAC format, but when Itunes on the Imac recognize them, it wont allow me to drag the songs to my library. Any suggestions?

    Have you authorized the iMac? I believe you need to go into preferences and authorize the iMac as one of the 5 computers on which you can play DRM'ed music.
