How do I back up my DVD's to dvd-r from macbook?

I recently got 10 DVD's stolen from me, so I figured now would be a good time to buy some blank DVD discs and back-up the DVD's I have left.



So how do you do it?



do you have to use handbrake and rip it and then do something from there or what?

    You use something like mac-the-ripper, and extract it to your hard drive. then you write the video_ts folder to a udf dvd-r (dual layer).. of course you can use other software such as dvd2onex to recompress the video_ts folder to the size of a single layer disc...

    My workflow: Rip with MacTheRipper and then compress/burn with Popcorn.
