Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 and imac?

New guy wondering if these will work with an imac intel 17", I should be able to just plug them into the headphone/optical out jack correct? Reason I ask is because I will be receiving my imac sometime next week and would like to use these because I already have them from my prior pc use.
