Full-screen DVDs on dual monitors

I have my TV hooked up to my PowerBook G4 1.67GHz with 128MB GPU and can play QuickTime movies full screen on one monitor while working on the other. I am trying to do this with DVDs but DVD Player will not let you use an application while DVD player is full-screen. VLC will not go full-screen on the second monitor. Does anyone know of any free/easy solutions.
