Hello there,

I have 'wiped' my iPod. The music does not appear in iTunes, or in the iPod's interface, however one can see that it is all there using the explorer/finder. i.e. it is not wiped, it has just effectively 'forgotten' about the music. Is there a way of reviving my 8000+ strong library?? If I cannot do it, could I send it off to a specialist for them to do it, because I really value the stuff I have on it!

Many Thanks,

Charlie.

    Google "data recovery."

There's a couple apps (I think with demos), and if those don't work, there's also professionals who can do it for a (likely exorbitant) fee.

I would suggest first backup the music you see to a location on your computer. Are you talking about seeing the music in the "hidden folder" on the ipod? You might also try telling iTunes to add a folder to your library and point it directly to your iPod. If that works then consolidate your library somewhere on your computer. If you could get a screenshot of the windows explorer where your music that would help.
