Backing up.

What would the best method for FREE of backing up my Macbook Pro, I have a 250 gig external USB 2.0 HD that I'd like to use for it.

    ditto and rsync at the command line are both included with MacOS X. The former for a complete cloning, the latter for incremental backups.
