Heyall,

I have a PC at home whose only purpose in life is to satisfy my Battlefield gaming needs.

To say the least, its a sweet little powerful rig..

Anyway..

I came across a need to rip a DVD of a friend's trip Australia into a XViD/DiVX file and silly old me thought there would be something just like Handbrake

Alas, no. I've searched in a dozen different popular shareware sites and didn't seem to find anything even remotely similar...

Any recommendations for a one-stop-solution for ripping DVDs directly to an XViD file?

Has a ton of extra options. Havent tried it yet, but looks like it fits the bill.

It also has the option to cut the credits.. nice

I don't like Handbrake any more. At first the idea was quite good but I've had a number of files that I ripped where the audio cuts out before the end of the movie. I've loaned my DVDs to relatives so this is very annoying. I wouldn't rely on Handbrake again. I'm going to go the route of normal ripping + manual encoding. It takes about the same time anyway.
