Entourage and Exchange: Symbols in Subject stop mail

Accounts using 2004 (11.2.3) and Exchange 2000: If the message has a symbol such as a period (.) or other symbol, it will not be received by account.



It does show in OWA and is received if mail is check via a POP account.



Ideas?
