Saving YouTube

I wonder if this is possible - I found some nostalgic 'gems' on youTube i would like to keep forever - before the RIAA or other such fascist entity make them disappear.

I see that the video is Flash based- is it possible to save it for future hilarity?

    ...Tubesock!

Can 'rip' to iPod video/H.264, MPEG3 or MPEG4. Nice little shareware program!

I used PodTube, but it doesn't work anymore for some strange reason. Now I use Tubesock, but only gets 30 seconds, arghh. I may buy Tubular for $9.99 next week, don't know if it's worth it, but I need something to do it with ease, and I'm doing looking.
