Video iPod problem - video muting
Long time viewer, first time poster 
Although I've had my 60GB video ipod for nearly a year, I've only stored music on it. I've recently been experimenting with putting my DVD's on the ipod. I use ImTOO platinum to rip the DVD's to mpeg-4. The movies play fine but then after a short while stall then continue to play without sound. If I rewind the movies they play with the sound, so the audio exists. I find that if I do this two or three times the movie continues to play normally.
[Edit - I'd like to add that the files play fine on my PC when the ipod is docked]
Any help, tips or suggestions how to overcome this annoyance
