Ok this is tricky. I have MS Word 2004. Every time I send out an email to someone with a document attached it tells them that it has a W97M.Thus.A virus. I have tried going into my Macros folder and looking for anything suspicious. I have gone into the Microsoft Users folder and deleted the Normal file. I made sure that the file name was clean and has a .doc suffix. I have no idea what is going on. I called Apple and they told me it does not have a virus, But I have sent emails to a lot of people and they all don't want to open it because it tells them that it contain the W97M.Thus.A virus. Someone Please Help!

Go download ClamXav, a free anti-virus program for the Mac. While the Mac doesn't have any viruses, it *can* be a vector for transmitting Windows viruses... and Office macro viruses are the most common culprit. It should detect and remove any such that you have.

W97M.Thus.A is in its database as well, so it's one it knows about.
