Okay... for some reason my internet connection works on osx, but on windows xp it says "limited or no connectivity." Any ideas on how to fix this?

BTW I'm using a Macbook Pro 2.16 GHZ (core 2 duo).

Are your network drivers showing as installed under Device Manager?

I'm using WEP (128 bit) at the moment and the network drivers are installed.

Are you broadcasting the SSID or is it hidden? Did you create your own WEP Key in your router?

If its hidden SSID, right-click My Network Places -> Properties

Right-Click Wireless Network Connection -> Properties

    Choose Wireless Networks Tab

Click Add -> Enter the SSID exactly as you created on your router

    Uncheck the key is provided

    Enter you 128-WEP key twice

    Choose Okay.

    Should work.

Yeah, broadcasting SSID is enabled, and the WEP key does work, but I just can't get on the internet. It only works when I disable WEP, but I don't want people to be using my internet

If its seeing the wireless signal then its probably a missing key.

Heres a tip. I usually enter my WEP key in notepad so that I dont enter the wrong letter or number. Copy and paste it twice. Also, it is case sensitive. Try that let us know!

Also, if your router will do it, use WPA b/c the security is much better.

Oh and make sure you using the proper ASCII or HEX.

Yeah, I also put WEP keys in a notepad, but thanks for the advice, I'll see if I typed my WEP key right. I also heard about WPA, I guess I will give it a try.

Edit: Alright it seems that I had the wrong WEP key all along (I was using a different WEP key), damn. Anyways, thanks for asnwering my questions, have a good christmas
