I have restarted several times - even used command/option/p/r

Nothing helps. I am glad I have FireFox - but I want Safari to work again.

Is there a way to reinstall it or something?

OK - this will sound crazy, but I am going to post it in case it helps anyone else with a similar problem.

I emptied the trash, and now safari works. Go Figure.

Crazy - but I ran safari, it crashed, emptied trash, ran safari, it was fine.

    You could also try this

    Goto Home/Library/Preferences

    and delete the following file

    com.apple.Safari.plist

You will loose all preferences setup in safari

Also try repairing the permissions as something maybe out of whack there also.

Do you have any third party safari add-ons installed?
