Having to reset all the time

I just got a new 5G U2 iPod for Christmas, which was a great surprise from my wife after my old iPod bit the dust and I had resolved to live without one for a while.



The problem is that after it sits idle for more than a couple of hours it requires a manual reset to get it switched on. It works great other than that, but what could this be a symptom of? Should I just send it back and get a new one or what? Thanks in advance.

    You're having a problem with it two weeks after starting to use it: yes you should get a new one!
