Top Tip: Illustrator CS2 Pathfinder fix for Intel Macs
This may well be common knowledge by now, but I thought I'd post it here in the off chance that it helps somebody out.
If you're experiencing the dreaded "The Application Illustrator CS2 has unexpectedly quit" problem after trying to apply any of the Illustrator CS2 Pathfinder commands (let's face it, Illustrator's pretty much useless without the Pathfinder commands) then the following workaround should get you back up and running again...
1. open Illustrator CS2 without any document open
2. make sure that the 'Appearance' palette is NOT visible
3. quit out of Illustrator CS2
4. restart Illustrator CS2
You should now be able to use the Patherfinder commands without the app bombing out on you.
