Is there a program to check CPU temperature, specifically on the new PowerMacs?

Motorola broke this feature built into the CPUs themselves with the introduction of the G4+. They decided not to bother. You'd have to stick a thermalcouple between the CPU and heatsink to get an accurate temp reading.

What about on a 7400 chip? I have a dual G4/500 which uses two PPC 7400s, so would I be able to check the temp with mine?
BTW, which chip is the G4+? I've seen that term used before but I'm not sure what it refers to. Is it the 7450?
