My sales team uses Act! on the MAc in OS 9. They are married to it, and it will be hard to migrate off it when they go to OS X.

Will Act! be developed for OS X?

What are some other PIMS for OS X that I get get my Act! users data imported into?

Act was bought and sold so many times I fogot who owns it now!

What do you guys use in the corporate world in OS X for sales dept contacts?

Should I just migrate them off the PowerBooks and get them Win XP laptops and continue to use Act! on the PC?

To be perfectly honest, you may want to evaluate the possibility of migrating them to Windows based laptops and continuing to let them run ACT! on those. I mean, take a look at Mac OS X based applications, but don't ignore the Windows option. Some programs to look at...

Those are really your two best options, though I could be forgetting some others. I just get a feeling the Windows route could be easier...

I don't even know what Act! is exactly. I've heard of it, but never seen it. Anyway, just thought I'd mention <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=14362&db=mac"; target="_blank">DayLite</a> in case it bears any resemblance to it. Take the rec with a grain of salt since I've never used either one, but they seem to be in the same ballpark. :shrugs:

ACT stopped development for the Mac quite awhile ago and say that they have no intention of moving back anytime soon.

ACT is really a nice program for Windows but it is bloated and tries to do too much. Easy to use though. I have used ACT 2000 on my iBook with Virtual PC for over 2 years. A little slow but has gained back some speed with Jaguar.

I think you should give Daylite a try. <a href="http://www.marketcircle.com."; target="_blank">www.marketcircle.com.</a> It still has a ways to go but the developers are constantly working on it and are very responsive to ideas.
